“MiamiCoin is part of the Bitcoin Family” embodies the spirit of the CityCoins project, its growing community, and how the marriage between Bitcoin and Stacks gives birth to new forms of civic engagement through blockchain technologies. This is the second NFT collection by the Curator.BTC Collective in collaboration with Miamian/Cuban artist Gonzalo Borges, and pseudonymous digital artists Keeva, E1Bøsc0, and Pika. Like our prior collection (Future of Money), each NFT is a unique variation of the original physical art painted by Borges. In this case, the NFTs were created by three pseudonymous digital artists going by the names of Keeva, E1Bøsc0, and Pika, using a variety of techniques and software, including the use of artificial intelligence. In addition to their value as a piece of art, the plan is for each NFT to represent a vote when taking future decisions about the fate of the physical painting. 20% of the proceeds from the minting will be donated toward the organization of the MiamiCoin x Art Week event. 1% of the proceeds from the minting will be donated to the Processing Foundation, to thank them for the use of open-source software Processing during part of the production.
